The Visible Heart Library is a great resource for cardiac anatomy students and medical device designers. All of the hearts in the library are generous gifts from donors and their families. In honor of their generosity, the library is an open resource for all who are interested.

The library can be used for a variety of uses including but not limited to:

  • Cardiac Anatomy Education
  • Cardiac Anatomical Measurements
  • Medical Device Testing
  • Computer Modeling

If you would like to tour and/or use the heart library please contact Tinen Ilse (thealy@umn.edu) or Paul Iaizzo (iaizz001@umn.edu).

If you are interested in using MRI or CT DICOM images please fill out and submit the form found within the heart database section of the website.
