Culotte Stents

Culotte 3D Model

Culotte stents can either be a main stenting approach, or they can be bailouts to Provisional or T/TAP procedures where there is too much stent material protruding into the main vessel. As a main stenting approach, Culotte stents are typically applied in coronary bifurcations with more acute side branch angles (less than 70 degrees) when compared to a T/TAP procedure and in bifurcations with proportionally larger side branch diameters. The Culotte approach starts with provisional stenting before adding a second stent into the side branch.
