Location:
The left ventricular apex is located at the bottom of the left ventricle inferior to both the mitral and aortic valve. It is close to but separated from the right ventricular apex by the interventricular septal wall.

Importance in device delivery:
The apex of the left ventricle is a potential entry sight into the left ventricle for valve therapies. Left ventricular assist devices can utilize the apex as a place to sew in blood conduits to fill the device with blood.

Localización:
El vértice del ventrículo izquierdo se encuentra en la parte inferior del ventrículo izquierdo por debajo de la válvula mitral y aórtica. Está cerca pero separado del vértice del ventrículo derecho por la pared del tabique interventricular.

Importancia en implante de dispositivos:
El vértice del ventrículo izquierdo es una posible ruta de entrada al ventrículo izquierdo para terapias valvulares. Es el sitio de implantación de la cánula de entrada de los dispositivos de asistencia ventricular izquierda (DAVI).
