The four chamber view is a long axis view that displays all four chambers of the heart, the left and right atria and ventricles. The plane of these images is defined by the operator. In this case the four chamber images are defined by the axis of the left ventricle, i.e., the axis aligns the left ventricular apex and the center of the mitral valve.

El corte de cuatro cámaras ofrece una vista del eje largo donde se observan las cuatro cámaras del corazón, las aurículas izquierda y derecha y los ventrículos. El plano de estas imágenes lo define el operador. En este caso la imagen está definida por el eje del ventrículo izquierdo, es decir, el eje alinea el vértice del ventrículo izquierdo y el centro de la válvula mitral.
