My education and job:

I went to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities for 2 1/4 years, studying computer science (and playing in the marching band) before hearing about the program being offered at the University of Minnesota - Duluth (UMD) for computer engineering. I always wanted to know how the guts of a computer worked, and not just how to program them, so I transfered to UMD for 4 years and got my degree in computer engineering, as well as minors in computer science and mathematics. After graduating from UMD, I was hired by Paul Iaizzo. (6 years of schooling and I get a job back at school. Go figure. *grin*) Here, I am responsible for writing data acquisition programs for research experiments (in a programming language called LabVIEW), analyzing and graphing the data, and maintaining the computer systems for the lab. I also write and maintain the web pages for the Visible Heart® Laboratory and the New Product Design and Business Development course.

Well, that's enough of the "official" information. Now for the more fun things:

Years ago (has it really been since 1995?) I set up an online photo album since several of my friends have asked for pictures. I haven't updated it in a LONG time, but it still seems to work, so I'll leave it in place. You'll have to excuse the "first attempt at making a web page" look of things.
