Cardiac Veins
Coronary Sinus Ostium Coronary Sinus Posterior Interventricular Vein Posterior Vein of the Left Ventricle Left Marginal Vein Great Cardiac Vein Anterior Interventricular Vein

Location:
This vein is formed from venules located on the anterior surface of the heart and then continues proximally to form (flows into) the great cardiac vein.

Function:
This cardiac vein returns deoxygenated blood (metabolic waste products) from the anterior surfaces of both the left and right ventricles: as this vein typically follows along the ventricular anterior septal border.
