Anatomic Position Left Anterior Oblique Anterior Posterior Posterior

In this left anterior oblique view of the human thorax, the major terms used to describe the anatomy of the heart are shown. Note that in this view, the interventricular septum is directly in view, effectively dividing the heart into right and left halves. This is a useful fluoroscopic view for cardiac procedures.
